How my run journey began
I started running as a freshman in high school. I ran cross country all four years and was on our state championship team as a sophomore. I ran track for two years, but quickly learned that I was in it for the long distance. I continued to run on my own throughout college and really started focusing on my long distance journey in 2011. Since that time I have run over 20 half marathons, 5 full marathons, and countless other races. I decided in 2021 that I wanted to expand my passion for running to others and decided to be a coach. I began implementing structured strength training to my running in 2020. With a desire to further my knowledge to help runners, I gained my certified personal training certificate in 2023.
I saw how much joy running had brought to my life, and I knew the benefits that it could have for other people. Not only from a physical fitness perspective, but also for the mental health gains, the new adventures it brings, and the highs of hitting your personal goals. My hope for you in hiring a coach is to help you tailor your running to run further, faster, and healthier. By further adding strength training to your customized plan, my goal is that you continue to run happy and healthy for many years to come!
